Dr.Kleeman’s passion for medicine and patient care began as a young girl, being fascinated with science and admiring her local family practice doctor.

Her love of Nebraska brought her to the University of Nebraska for her undergraduate years. After completing her degree, she attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO, completing her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. There she was able to learn more about the musculoskeletal system and bring other treatment options to patients in addition to medications. Upon completion of her doctorate, Dr. Kleeman was quite enthused to return to Lincoln for her Medical Residency Program, finishing the program in 2016 and earn her board certification in Family Medicine.

After residency, Dr. Kleeman had an offer to work in her home state of South Dakota, where she practiced full-spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics. Her love of Lincoln drew her back in 2020, specifically to Bluestem Health. She was drawn to work for Bluestem Health, in particular, due to the relationship and friendships that she made with her fellow physicians Dr. Shahan, Dr. Alvarez, and Dr. Israel during her residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program.

Her bedside manner is a strength of Dr. Kleeman. She enjoys being very informative and calm with her patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have, and developing relationships with her patients so they can trust her and work toward prevention and better health.

Her experience in rural South Dakota allowed her to find her passion in women’s health, as well as during her residency. She does paps, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and implantable birth control and placement of IUDs. Dr. Kleeman has years of experience delivering babies, caring for pediatric patients, and is knowledgeable about the benefits of breastfeeding.

In her spare time, Dr. Kleeman enjoys being with her family which includes her husband Jeff,  and their two children. She loves hiking, biking, and all things nature. She is always up for a fun road trip, Huskers and 49ers games, and all of the great places and things to do in Lincoln. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing as many new things as possible.
