Dr. Kleeman’s passion for medicine and patient care began as a young girl, being fascinated with science and admiring her local family practice doctor.

After completing her degree at the University of Nebraska, she attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO, earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. There, she was able to learn more about the musculoskeletal system and bring other treatment options to patients in addition to medications. Upon completion of her doctorate, Dr. Kleeman was eager to return to Lincoln for her Medical Residency Program, which she completed in 2016 and earned board certification in Family Medicine.

After residency, Dr. Kleeman practiced full-spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics, in her home state of South Dakota.  Her love of Lincoln drew her back in 2020 where she was reunited with her fellow Bluestem Health physicians Dr. Shahan, Dr. Alvarez, and Dr. Israel, whom she met during her residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Kleeman is calm with her patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have, and developing relationships with them. Through education, she helps develop trust and work toward prevention and better health.

Her experience in rural South Dakota allowed her to find her passion in women’s health, as well as during her residency. She does pap smears, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and implantable birth control and placement of IUDs. Dr. Kleeman has years of experience delivering babies, caring for pediatric patients, and is knowledgeable about the benefits of breastfeeding.

In her spare time, Dr. Kleeman enjoys being with her family, including her husband Jeff and their two children. She loves hiking, biking, and all things nature. She is always up for a fun road trip, Huskers and 49ers games, and all of the great places and things to do in Lincoln.
