Why is it that so many of us have fond memories of time spent with our family doctor? Perhaps it’s the relationship that grows over the years: the trust built through conversations, shared decisions, and care that evolves with every stage of life. A family provider is often the first person you call when a fever occurs, a sore throat won’t go away, or a chronic condition raises questions that you need answers for. They are the steady presence who helps you understand what’s happening now and what comes next.
Maxine Turvey, APRN-FP, and Brett Wergin, MD, provide this kind of care. They take the time to get to know their patients and their stories, and to support families across multiple generations. As family medicine providers, they serve as the central connection in each patient’s healthcare journey. They guide patients through every step of care. Whether that means specialty treatment, preventive visits, or trusted guidance, they help each patient keep moving forward with confidence.
When caring for their patients, Dr. Brett Wergin and Maxine Turvey, APRN-FP, consider the whole person and the level of care needed, from acute and primary care to chronic disease management. It’s important for our providers to have a thorough understanding of a person’s medical history. This knowledge is the result of years of consistent care, including annual checkups and open communication between providers and patients.
