Michelle received her Nursing Degree from Union College in Lincoln and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Nebraska Heart and at a nursing home before returning to school to complete her RN degree. She worked in the Progressive Cardiac Unit and the Inpatient/Outpatient Diabetes Unit at Bryan Health for four years before attaining her Advanced Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Michelle offers a wealth of knowledge and experience in cardiac care and diabetic education to her patients.

One of the reasons she chose to work at Bluestem Health stems from when she did a clinical rotation at the Kreshel Clinic during her Nurse Practitioner training. She really loved working with the patient population and seeing how Bluestem Health makes sure that every patient is able to get the care they need and deserve. She also appreciates being able to use critical thinking when diagnosing and treating her patients.

Michelle grew up in Lincoln and is married with two children: a son and a daughter. In her spare time, Michelle loves spending time with her family and doing fun outdoor activities like going to the zoo and museums, and playing golf. She also volunteers with Heart Heroes which helps kids with congenital heart defects and JDRF fundraising events.
