Colin Grandgenett, PA-C, believes that everything in life is a give and take, and that includes your health. “Your health and your life are linked,” he says. “When I work with patients, it’s about getting to know them so they can make the best decisions for their health. I truly enjoy helping people with the small things that allow their body to function at a higher level, so they can live longer and do what they love.”

Colin was drawn to Bluestem Health by its mission to serve those who need it most, one that hits close to home. His dad has worked at Bluestem Health for more than 20 years, and for Colin, the clinic feels more like family than just a workplace. “It’s where we’d go for every small cut or illness,” he says. “I’ve been coming here for years, so starting my career here just felt right.” His wife also works at Bluestem Health, making the experience even more meaningful.

As a Physician Assistant, Colin works closely with other providers, diabetic educators, nutritionists, pediatric coordinators, and case managers to create team-based care plans tailored to each patient. He especially values collaborating with nutritionists to help patients make small but impactful changes to their diet and exercise routines. His focus on preventive medicine is about more than reducing office visits—it’s about giving patients the tools to stay healthy and active throughout their lives.

When he’s not at the clinic, Colin finds balance in the same things he encourages in others—connection, movement, and joy. You’ll find him playing pickleball, hiking favorite trails, or swapping stories around a campfire with his wife, family, and friends, and recharging so he can help others do the same.
