Are you tired of hassle and confusion when paying medical bills? We make it easy for patients to pay with our Online Bill Pay. Not only is it fast and convenient, but your payment is securely processed directly into your account every night. What does that mean for you? Because your account is always current – and just a click away – it’s easy to avoid overpayment and late payments. Compared to a check, or third-party online payment options that sometimes take weeks to process, our Online Bill Pay is a hassle-free and seamless way to pay your medical bills.
Checks and Your Balance
While it’s possible to make payments online using a third-party payment service, such as doxo, there are some downsides to doing so for Bluestem Health patients. To start, third-party online payment services can sometimes charge a service fee because they don’t already have a contract with Bluestem Health. And even though patients often use digital payments to fund third-party bill pay services, these third parties still send a check to us for payment – which can take three or four weeks to process.
For those paying statements using a conventional check sent in the mail, it can be affected by mail delays, leading to late payment. If there is a crossover with a statement being mailed out prior to a previous payment being applied, you might be overpaying. Patients using our Online Bill Pay will always see the updated balance, and all payments made through the portal are directly posted the next business day, preventing a late bill from being sent to collections.
