Bluestem Health’s nationally-recognized care is a reflection of our mission in action—and a reminder that quality care should be available to everyone.

Since 2003, Bluestem Health has been serving the people of Lincoln and the surrounding communities by providing integrated healthcare services––family medicine, behavioral health, dental services, and pharmacies––through one organization. Creating a healthy community is our vision, and our team of providers, nurses, and other medical professionals always strives to make certain our patients receive the highest quality of care.
In 2024, Bluestem Health was named a Health Center Quality Leader by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). This is the top-level honor for a health center to receive nationwide. It reflects our strong commitment to improving patient outcomes, reducing health disparities, and continuously raising the standard of care for the community.
“We are honored by this recognition, not just for the organization, but especially for the patients and families we serve every day,” says Brad Meyer, CEO of Bluestem Health.

Being a Health Center Quality Leader means Bluestem Health is among the top-performing community health centers in the country when it comes to delivering high-quality, effective care. It’s proof that our patients are getting the kind of healthcare that truly makes a difference. Whether it’s managing chronic conditions like diabetes or helping someone navigate mental health challenges, we are showing up with compassion, skill, and a team-based approach that puts people first.
For our patients, this translates to better outcomes and a more connected care experience. At Bluestem Health, our doctors, dentists, behavioral health professionals, and support staff all work together to make sure no part of your health is overlooked. That kind of teamwork leads to earlier diagnoses, more personalized treatment plans, and healthier lives.
It also means care is accessible and affordable. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Bluestem Health offers a sliding fee scale, so patients can get the services they need—regardless of income or insurance status. That’s a huge benefit for families who might otherwise delay care, or not get care at all, due to cost.
