Keeping Up with Dental Care This Summer

We understand that you may be hesitant to visit our dental clinic during this time but we want to assure you that infection control has always been a top priority.

Most dentists are now recommending twice a year check-ups, this summer may be the time for your next visit. We understand that you may be hesitant to visit our dental clinic during this time but we want to assure you that infection control has always been a top priority. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

Patient Screenings:

  • Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some COVID-19 screening questions.
  • You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the clinic and your temperature will be checked.
  • After the patient is checked-in for their appointment we will ask them to wait in their car until the time of their appointment to reduce the number of patients in the lobby at any given time. If the patient does not have a vehicle to wait in they will be allowed to remain in the lobby.
  • All patients will be asked to bring and wear a face mask or cloth covering and to practice hand hygiene provided in the clinic when they arrive for their appointment.

Limited Appointments

Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients and to allow us to properly disinfect our treatment rooms. There will also be limits on the types of procedures we are able to do right now and that might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

Limited Visitors

Patients are strongly encouraged to come alone to their appointment to limit the number of people in the clinic at any one time. Minors or other patients requiring assistance will be allowed one visitor. The visitor will be screened the same as a patient.
