Bluestem Health Piedmont Clinic is a Family Medicine clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska, and our providers are accepting new patients. For new and prospective patients, we’re excited for you to see our new office located at Bryan Health East. Our clinic serves Lincoln and residents of the Piedmont community. This convenient location at the Bryan Health East Medical Plaza works great for patients, with Radiology easily accessible within the building, COVID screening upon entry, and easy access to hospital services if needed.

Meet Our Bluestem Health Piedmont Clinic Team

Andrew Shahan, MD

received his Medical Degree from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas and is board certified in Family Medicine. Following his family medicine residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Shahan joined the U.S. Air Force and worked as an Emergency Medicine physician while stationed in Korea, and most recently, in Germany, before returning to the U.S.

Reba Cooksley, DNP, APRN-NP, FNP-C

is a board-certified nurse practitioner in Family Medicine. She recently completed both her Master’s Degree in Nursing and Advanced Nurse Practitioner training in Family Medicine. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Reba worked as a nurse for five years in the Neurotrauma Critical Care Unit at Bryan Health.

Mary Hofferber, APRN-NP,

is a Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine. She went to nursing school with the intention of becoming an APRN because it is in her blood, with both of her parents having careers in medicine.

Holly, Piedmont Clinic Office Manager

Holly worked at Family Health Associates for twenty years. Having worked in the Piedmont neighborhood already, Holly has been a part of a lot of great change with the opening of our Piedmont Clinic. She is embracing it as a new, exciting opportunity and she is thrilled to welcome new patients to the Piedmont Clinic.

Our COVID Precautions

Bluestem Health takes every precaution to help ensure the health and safety of our patients. Our family medicine providers want to see all of our patients for their regularly scheduled well-child checks, yearly exams, immunizations, and more.

We ask that all of our patients follow these safety measures to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

• If you have a fever and cough, please call our office and one of your team members will help you determine the next step or whether you need to schedule an appointment. Do not just walk into the clinic with these symptoms.
• To help stop the spread of the Coronavirus, please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
• Practice Strict Social Distancing – Limit leaving the house for any non-essential reasons. When doing so, try and stay at least 6 feet away from others and avoid peak times.

The safety of our team and your family is our top priority during this pandemic and after.
