Bluestem Health CEO Brad Meyer has announced that North Lincoln Family Medical Center will become part of the Bluestem Health organization effective April 2019. Charles Kreshel, MD, opened the North Lincoln Family Medical Center in 1991 and has continued to serve the Belmont Community by offering comprehensive family medicine services and obstetric care.
"We are excited to welcome Dr. Charles Kreshel and his entire team of providers and staff to our Bluestem Health Family," Meyer said. "It is an honor to be associated with the great care Dr. Kreshel has provided over the years in this community. It is because of his work that we will be naming the new clinic Bluestem Health Kreshel Clinic."
By expanding the Bluestem Health clinics to include North Lincoln Family Medical Center, patients will be connected to additional services through Bluestem Health's network, including integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy. North Lincoln Family Medical Center is located at 3100 N. 14th Street.
"I’m excited for the opportunity created by joining the Bluestem Health organization," Dr. Kreshel remarked. "The additional technology and services they provide will enhance patient communication, operational efficiency, and most importantly, patient care. Our patients will be able to see the same doctor, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners at our current location, as well as have direct access to additional services like dental and behavioral health. I feel it's important for the community to maintain a quality healthcare facility in Northwest Lincoln well into the future, and we accomplished that goal by joining Bluestem Health."
Bluestem Health has four other locations in Lincoln: 1021 N. 27th Street, 2246 O St (Administration), 2301 O Street (Health 360), and 2222 S. 16th Street(Thompson Clinic).
"Together, North Lincoln Family Medical Center and Bluestem Health will make healthcare more accessible and affordable to the Lincoln community," added Meyer.
Bluestem Health is a federally qualified health center that offers integrated medical, dental, and behavioral services all under one roof. They also provide additional community help including assistance in applying for resources such as Medicaid, SNAP, ADC, Child Care Support, and Open Enrollment through the Health Insurance Exchange.
