Protect Yourself and Others: Wear A Mask. During this time, it is easy to be confused and lost in the constant news cycle and updates of COVID-19. There are so many news sources, healthcare professionals, and social media messages to keep up on, even some suggesting that masks may not be safe.
As professionals in the healthcare industry, the best advice we can give is to encourage everyone to practice social distancing and continue to wear a mask in public. Masks are safe for anyone over the age of two-years-old or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
