The 340B drug pricing program, established by Congress in 1992, allows Federally Qualified Health Centers like Bluestem Health to purchase prescription medications at discounted prices negotiated with drug companies. 

These savings can amount to as much as 50% off the usual price of medications. The program’s primary goal is to reach more eligible patients and provide them with affordable medications.
