Kelsa is a Family Medicine provider at the Bluestem Health Piedmont Clinic, who grew up in rural Bellwood, Nebraska. She always wanted to have a career where she could help people and make a difference in their lives, and that’s why becoming a Physician Assistant was a long-time goal for her.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Wayne State College and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Union College, she worked at a family health clinic for two years in Illinois. She knew she wanted to work with underserved populations, so Kelsa decided to join the Bluestem Health team and move back to care for people in Nebraska. We are so glad that she did.
Kelsa enjoys connecting with her patients and being able to make their lives healthier. She likes caring for patients of all ages and treating a variety of health conditions. She will be joining our other Piedmont Providers, Andrew Shahan, MD, and Reba Cooksley, DNP, APRN-NP at the Piedmont Clinic located in Bryan Health East Medical Plaza.
Kelsa and her husband have two young boys and a beagle. They enjoy being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and watching Husker football.
