For many of our patients, our dental clinic is one of the only places they can turn for dental care. From annual checkups to urgent dental needs, our dental team provides high-quality care for patients without private insurance. Last year, nearly 2,500 people received care through our dental program, including patients who may have otherwise delayed treatment until pain became a crisis.
With two dentists and one dental hygienist, we see approximately 3,000 patients per year. Even with that reach, Lincoln has an estimated 30,000 residents who are uninsured or who rely on Medicaid or Medicare for dental care, many of whom are seeking treatment.
Unfortunately, 95–96% of dental offices in Lincoln do not accept Medicaid. That’s why our services are more important than ever. To address this gap, we added the emergency dental clinic at Bluestem Health. This clinic provides a location where patients experiencing dental pain or infection can receive immediate care and relief.
In addition to emergency dental care, we’re able to provide essential dental services to anyone who needs them.
